You’ll Do Miracles So Great: 8 ways to be imperfectly righteous

“I assure you: The one who believes in Me will also do the works that I do. And he will do even greater works than these, because I am going to the Father.” - Jesus (John 14:12-13)⁣

Some people debate & doubt that we are doing or seeing miracles as great as those of the First Church, maybe the saints aren't as strong in the faith as the founding apostles. I think to properly assess this, it matters what we consider to be a miracle...⁣

The conversion of the mind to grasp what is of true value to God is needed to fully understand a true miracle in the world after Jesus' ascension. We as believers cannot look primarily at the healing of the body/turning away from addiction/promotion to greater status as sole confirmations of God's miraculous nature. ⁣

We must understand that miracles now focus on the spiritual unblinding of eyes & unplugging of ears to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus did miracles on the body to convert the soul. He did so “fully, instantaneously, and completely” Dr. Thomas Constable on Matthew 8:14-15 He was with the people in the flesh, & in that time showed Himself directly through fleshly wonder. We, however, have been gifted the Holy Spirit to now show Jesus' everlasting spiritual power. ⁣

We do not look at flesh for confirmation of God's wonder, because if the body is strong but the spirit is weak, what is won? We SEE salvation as the miracle. So, do not be defeated when the flesh does not look like a miracle. Be more concerned when a person's spirit is not seeking to become perfected in Christ. Be encouraged when the spirit is strong in spite of the body’s weakness.

Great = increase⁣
Miracle = spiritual wonder⁣

We are looking for an increase in spiritual wonder.

The value of great miracles is an increase in the number of saved people, not a multitude of the bodily healed or materially blessed because “my flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart, my portion forever” (Psalm 73:26). We are called to do spiritual wonders through the beautiful spread of the Word of God. ⁣

What needs to be seen are great numbers of believers truthfully & boldly gifting the Gospel. That's where miracles start.⁣

"The mighty works of conversion are more in view here than a few miracles of healing." - Dr. Thomas Constable⁣ on Acts 1:1-2

In what ways we spread the Gospel are extremely important to the successful seeing of miracles.

How do you spread the Gospel, Curlfriend?⁣
I'm a little bit artsy & wordy - I write, dance, & speak the Truth.⁣

"The perception of God's Truth is greatly affected by the state of human relationships within the Body Of Christ." - Everett F. Harrison on Colossians 2:1-3⁣

My personal calls to sharing God’s truth is what puts me in a place of being a miracle that does great miracles and the body of Christ coming otgether humanley relating to the truth in unity and on one accord greatly affects how God is perceived in the world.

What is this perception Harrison speaks of? How do we perceive God’s Truth?
Perception: the ability to see, hear, or become aware of something through the senses...⁣

The question then is always what do we (believers) look, sound, and feel like to the world - are we displaying God's Truth through Christ or offering a manufactured version we've molded for ourselves?⁣

Why is this important to evaluate us as the perception of God’s Truth ?⁣
Because we are sense-centered beings. We have held onto the thinking that if something looks and sounds like "a duck," it is in fact "a duck..."⁣

Sooo, if we claim to look and sound like Jesus, but have no understanding or respect of His sovereignty, wisdom, and ways...unknowing people, susceptible people, people who are to be converted into children of God will still label us as Christ-followers and equate the falsities of our walk, talk, and ways as those of Christ, Himself.

⁣Can we really see miracles if we are not mirroring the one true Miracle worker?
Our sensational perception is very important. God will not allow us to operate in deception. The truth will be revealed.⁣

We cannot be caught looking like "a duck," if we aren’t going to be one. We cannot be caught acting like a Christian, a friend of mine calls it social christianity - the convenience of it, without actually living in its true ministry. The Kingdom cannot afford it and God doesn’t deserve it. We must really actualize the life of a true and honest believer so that Jesus is righteously represented in the world and great miracles are rightly performed!

How do we actualize this life of truth and honesty in these mortal and faulty clay jars?

  1. Put hope and trust in God above. Proverbs 3:1-6 (lean to His all-knowing Spirit)

    My son, don’t forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commands;

    for they will bring you many days, a full life, and well-being.

    Never let loyalty and faithfulness leave you. Tie them around your neck;

    write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will find favor and high regard

    in the sight of God and man. Trust in the LORD with all your heart,

    and do not rely on your own understanding;

    think about Him in all your ways, and He will guide you on the right paths.

  2. Be true to the doctrine - study the Word. Psalm 119: 103-107 (lamp and light)

    How sweet Your word is to my taste — sweeter than honey in my mouth.

    I gain understanding from Your precepts; therefore I hate every false way.

    נNun

    Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path.

    I have solemnly sworn to keep Your righteous judgments.

    I am severely afflicted; LORD, give me life through Your word.

  3. Be bold in personal convictions. Romans 14:22-23 (keep them unto God)

    Do you have a conviction? Keep it to yourself before God. The man who does not condemn himself by what he approves is blessed. But whoever doubts stands condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from a conviction, and everything that is not from a conviction is sin.

  4. Put on the right armor. Ephesians 6:10-20 (strength in Christ)

    Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by His vast strength. Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the tactics of the Devil. For our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens. This is why you must take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand.

    Stand, therefore, with truth like a belt around your waist,

    righteousness like armor on your chest, and your feet sandaled with readiness

    for the gospel of peace. In every situation take the shield of faith,

    and with it you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

    Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is God’s word.

    Pray at all times in the Spirit with every prayer and request, and stay alert in this with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints. Pray also for me, that the message may be given to me when I open my mouth to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel. For this I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I might be bold enough in Him to speak as I should.

  5. Don’t shy away from repentance - remember God forgives and redirects. 1 John 1:5-10 (God is light and offers righteousness)

    Now this is the message we have heard from Him and declare to you: God is light, and there is absolutely no darkness in Him. If we say, “We have fellowship with Him,” yet we walk in darkness, we are lying and are not practicing the truth. But if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say, “We have no sin,” we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say, “We don’t have any sin,” we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

  6. Show grace to others to keep the peace. Matthew 5:9 (be a peacekeeper)

    The peacemakers are blessed, for they will be called sons of God.

  7. Let God be supreme. Proverbs 3:7-12 (respect and wise submission)

    Don’t consider yourself to be wise; fear the LORD and turn away from evil.

    This will be healing for your body and strengthening for your bones.

    Honor the LORD with your possessions and with the first produce of your entire harvest;

    then your barns will be completely filled, and your vats will overflow with new wine.

    Do not despise the LORD’S instruction, my son, and do not loathe His discipline;

    for the LORD disciplines the one He loves, just as a father, the son he delights in.

  8. Have the joy of Jesus is your heart and love Him and others wholly. Romans 10:8-13 (confess Jesus is Lord) & Matthew 22:35-40 (greatest commandment)

    The message is near you, in your mouth and in your heart. This is the message of faith that we proclaim: If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation. Now the Scripture says, Everyone who believes on Him will not be put to shame, for there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, since the same Lord of all is rich to all who call on Him. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:8-13

    And one of them, an expert in the law, asked a question to test Him: “Teacher, which command in the law is the greatest?”

    He said to him, “ Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and most important command. The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commands.” Matthew 22:35-40

    Great miracles are available and evident:

    • they are the changing of hearts

    • the breaking of chains

    • the righting of minds

    • the reconciliation and recovery of relationships

    • the self-sacrificial turning away from sin.

      Darkness will never be completely gone here and we will never understand why healing in the body, in the physical, is not afforded to everyone. But we know we are not deserving of a sinless world, yet our Lord has promised us that in eternity there will be no sin and no heartache; there will be no physical ailments and no disaster. What we have right now is the opportunity to spread the Gospel of our Father who promises an eternity greater than now. Great miracles are ours to make, how amazing is that? Jesus has given us the permitted power from His ascension and the Holy Spirit’s indwelling to do great miracles, as He once did on the earth. So if we love Him and believe in Him with all our hearts, it’s not about seeing His work here, it’s about being His work here.

    We have to
    Say it
    Do it
    Show it
    Prove it

We have to be the sensational perception of God’s Truth!
