Battles for a Lifetime

Healed Curls understand “to live is Christ” to means they’re in a victorious fight.

I find comfort in knowing that my entire life is already planned out; God has already set the path for my life and it is victorious. All I'm responsible for is living each day with faithfulness, obedience, my shared testimony, and the spreading of His Gospel.

"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ..." 2 Corinthians 10: 3-5 (NKJV)

Satan doesn't care...

BATTLE AGAINST THE LIE

"The devil is a liar." One morning I woke up with this strong declaration on my mind. It’s been repeated by many saints. However, it could have weakened me because I had been believing him regarding my life for so long. It could have left me lost because I had been following him in my actions for so long. It could have left me feeling lonely because I surrounded myself with darkness for so long…but there was One, though sometimes unacknowledged, who never left my side. I had to understand that every unchallenged lie I let define me was a device used to discredit and demean the image of God.

You are a failure = God has failed you

This world is going to swallow you up = God will leave and forsake you

Those people don't care for you = God doesn't care for you

NO, Satan doesn't care about me OR you. We’re just pawns in his ultimate scheme to attack our Father and tear down His kingdom. I was HELPING the devil, by hiding in the shadows of his daggers aimed at God, and being inadvertently stabbed in the crossfire.

We allow Satan’s daggers when we accept sin nature to slither about unchecked.

We allow Satan’s daggers when we live in confusion and spew words of hatred and deceit to uplift ourselves.

We allow Satan’s daggers when we continue to live wrong, when we know Righteousness.

It's a choice...

BATTLE OF MULTIPLE CHOICE OPTIONS

"It's a choice...," ringing through my head. Whether to have joy or anger, premature defeat or unshakeable victory, you have the POWER to choose 1) who you'll be, 2) what you'll think, 3) how you'll encounter Satan, 4) when you will fight, and 5) how much you'll trust God.

It's all a choice. He gives us free will to direct our hearts, minds and souls toward Him. He has the plan, the path, and the deliverance READY for us right now; RIGHT NOW! We just have to choose Him...get tired enough, energized enough, blind enough, clear enough, weak enough, strong enough, bound enough, or free enough to turn from the world and seek His face.

What's your "enough" threshold?

As I reflected on this for many days, I came across Deuteronomy 30:19-20 and Psalm 34 (which has been on my heart for at least a month).

Satan has lost the war, but the battles are up to your choosing...please choose Jesus!

No greater love

BATTLE FOR CONCRETE LOVE

Looking for love in ALL the wrong places, the wrong people, the wrong things? It's easy to do and results in great fear and uncertainty. I believe God's love is immutable, it's a standard no one can live up to or they'd, as a consequence, be your god instead. STOP the pressure on people, money, careers, success/failure, and "tomorrow," to love you like God ADORES you. They are all finite and without assurance of consistency: man lies and leaves, money is of "Caesar" and empty of eternal value, careers are ever-changing, success/failures are events in time and space and are not definite, tomorrow is forever coming and never staying.

Only God can love you perfectly and wholly.

Perfectly! Without want! No regrets! Covered and constant!

Hebrews 6:13, 17-19 - THE HIGHEST PROMISE

Matthew 28:20b - FOREVER AND ALWAYS

John 15:12-13 A LIFE COMMITMENT

Jeremiah 31:3 EVERLASTING, HE'S DRAWN ME

*1 John 4:10-11, 17-19 A PICTURE OF PERFECTION

Battles are the teaching exercises from God. If we truly believe that He is real, then we consequently know that the spiritual world manifests in the physical realm. Earth's happenings give us a glimpse of Heavenly warfare. We get to fight it out and succeed, or coward away, leaving our armor and lessons on the battlefield. The choice to learn, grow, and rise is always ours!
